I was talking to a friend who was feeling mistrust and fear about a particular relationship and I remembered a book I had read many years ago. The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. He talked about the heart being like a radio. We broadcast from it. Excerpt from book:
1 The will, projected from the point between the eyebrows, is known by yogis as the broadcasting apparatus of thought. When the feeling is calmly concentrated on the heart, it acts as a mental radio, and can receive the messages of others from far or near. In telepathy the fine vibrations of thoughts in one person’s mind are transmitted through the subtle vibrations of astral ether and then through the grosser earthly ether, creating electrical waves which, in turn, translate themselves into thought waves in the mind of the other person.
Science now says one of the strongest fields projected from the human is from the heart. I suggested to my friend that she send thoughts of love and forgiveness from her heart and each time a fearful, sad or mistrusting thought come up to affirm a statement of forgiveness toward herself and the other person or some thought of love toward herself or that person. I relfected on why this was brought to me and I see it as a gift and reminder for myself to practice the same thing…forgiveness and love. Just a thought….
